about bj leroy

BJ LeRoy works in a variety of volleyball venues, with 30 years of experience in the sport. His main focus remains in helping coaches to learn effective and efficient training methods. He has coached everything from adults to 4-year-olds, indoor and out, boys and girls.

BJ studies educational methods and “reaching” youth through sports and effective coaching. He lectures internationally on combining teaching with coaching; motor learning; safety in sport; youth sport development; and coaching education. Most all he believes in a Safe Learning Environment for athletes and coaches, where both can reach high performance levels.

BJ is an administrator for the largest volleyball coaching organization in the world, Volleyball Coaches and Trainers (Facebook) with over 23,000 members.

He lives in Sheboygan, WI, USA with his wife Shelli (a 5th grade teacher and former coach), daughter Carsyn (an accomplished setter) and son Sam (a decent backyard player in his own right).
